Jhaton White serves as the Membership Associate at JustLeadershipUSA. In this role, he is supporting the organization’s membership acquisition, engagement, and retention through the #2MillionVoices program. Most recently, he was a Recruitment Coordinator at the Center for Alternative Sentencing and Employment Services where he was an integral part of the inaugural implementation of the JAG program. Growing up in the Bronx provided him with sufficient examples of the necessity for criminal justice reform, so he attended SUNY Albany where he dual majored in Criminal Justice and Sociology. Subsequently, he pursued a master’s degree in Criminal Justice with a focus on the collateral consequences associated with arrest and incarceration. In conjunction, his experiences have cultivated his passion for mitigating the affects of perpetual systemic racism by providing access to opportunities for system(s) involved individuals.
