Jasmine Gonzalez is the Milwaukee Campaign Administrator working on the #CLOSEmsdf campaign. She is the child of Mexican immigrants and a born and raised Midwesterner. Having attended college across the street from the Milwaukee Secure Detention Facility, she witnessed firsthand the devastating effects of mass incarceration and punitive legislation on the Milwaukee community. She has dedicated her career to dismantling systemic racism, combating oppression, and building a just society for all.Jasmine oversees day-to-day operations for the JLUSA team in Milwaukee. Previously, she served as the communications coordinator for immigrant rights organization Voces de la Frontera and as the development coordinator for the ACLU of Wisconsin. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from Marquette University and a Master of Science in Nonprofit Management and Leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.Outside of work, Jasmine is an improv performer with the Ampersand Theater Company in Milwaukee.
