New York State Organizer
Ashley Gantt is New York State Organizer at JLUSA working on the #FREEnewyork Campaign. For the past eight years Ashley has worked in the heart of the social justice movement in Rochester New York, first as an advocate with Refugees Helping Refugees, then for Metro Justice as a racial justice organizer and lead organizer for the Fight for $15 campaign. Currently she serves as chair of the Advisory Board for the YWCA of Rochester where she works with families directly affected by homelessness, addiction, reentry and domestic abuse. Most recently, Ashley became Co-leader and Diversity Chair for Action Together Rochester where she fights for progressive causes through collaboration, education, equity and advocacy in her community. She strives every day to love mercy, pursue justice, and walk humbly before her God!
